by newqatarjob inas someone brought up as a jw and been an elder and been disfellowshipped (twice!!!

WheninDoubt,
"And that would be your understanding Village Idiot, I hope for your audience sake, you speak with first hand knowledge."
The fact that you said "...but didn’t bother to write down the reason why." is a clear indication that you have not bothered to do the most basic research, further more you criticize others for not having "first hand knowledge" but you do not have any such knowledge yourself.
Bottom line, he did explain why in his book and you're erroneous in stating that he didn't.

@ WheninDoubt,
"Raymond Franz wanted to change the WT doctrine to befit him, not the members, and when he got kicked out for that, then he wrote a book explaining how evil that organization was, but didn’t bother to write down the reason why."
That is absolutely false and he did explain the reason why!
One of the 'brothers' started a witch hunt against him because he abstained from certain votes on doctrinal matters, neither voting for or against. And such voting indicates that the Governing Body chose doctrinal matters by vote. They could vote for or against.
He was not kicked out for his voting record. When the witch hunt was instigated they questioned him about his beliefs. They did not find anything with which to disfellowship him.
They finally disfellowshipped him because, after he had been kicked out of Bethel with his wife and no job, he started working for an inactive elder who was a friend of his. That employer was also his landlord since Franz had no place to stay in except for a trailer on his friends property. He was witnessed, by his accusers, to have been sitting down at a restaurant with him. The Watchtower had recently doubled up on its stand against disfellowshipping by expanding shunning of both disfellowshipped and dissociated ones. His having a meal with his employer/landlord had taken place before that more stringent law was passed but they chose to apply it retroactively.
Get your facts straight you obviously have not read anything on the subject.

@ WheninDoubt, "To Village Idiot: Where do you think the WT gets it material? From global publishing."
I don't see how that relates to anything I said.

@ WhenInDoubt,
"I find similarities between this site and Muslim extremism..."
Who on this site is calling for suicide bombers to kill others?
"...but I do enjoy the lack of religious knowledge spread around here, it’s very entertaining."
There are plenty of posters here who have a lot of religious knowledge.
"I believe someone else said, read the bible for yourself to get the truth. How ironic, that same philosophy is taught by the jW’s, so what’s the difference, just asking is."
Those who say that people should read the Bible are not forcing one particular set of Bible literature with which to interpret their understanding of it. The Jehovah's Witnesses do and it is exclusively their books.
"So if you’re going to complain about the WT’s doctrines, then complain about EVERYONES."
Huh? If you've been reading this site you should have noticed plenty of criticism about other religion's doctrines and beliefs.

All Gays Are Perverts
by Coded Logic in"scientists may never resolve exactly how much of a role nature and nurturing play in same-sex attraction.
but one thing is clear: all humans are born with the tendency to succumb to wrong thinking and inclinations.
--romans 3:23. a youth who desires to please god must therefore conform to his moral standards and shun immoral behavior, though doing so may be agonizingly difficult.

"We're living in 2015 not in the dark ages. the inquisitions have nothing to do with Christians in 2015."
yogosans, my point is that the foundation of Christianity and the ancient Hebrews, namely the belief in their superiority over other people, leads to wars and genocide. The only difference between fundamentalist Christians of today and fundamentalist Christians of yesteryear is that today's Christians do not have sovereign territory in which to enforce their own prejudice and disdain of others outside their religion. You can thank secularism for that in that it took away the power of religionists and created a religiously neutral society.
You will have tyranny whenever an authoritarian religion takes control of a nation. It is inherent in the psyche of all exclusivist religions that have no respect for others. Such tyranny in any time period is the inevitable result of believing that others are going to go to hell simply for not being like them ('saved').
So you can claim that the past has no bearing on the present but in actuality the past predicts what will happen in the present. Remember the old saying, "Those who forget the past are destined to repeat it". And remember this about this nation's religious founding father's:
The above, the hanging of Mary Dyer by the Puritans, is the natural and inevitable consequence of your religious beliefs.
